Well, I bought a pack of jigheads w/weed guards, and plan to try some soft plastics on them. Mostly plan to pitch/flip lillys, stickpiles, and such with them.

So far I am thinking of trying Netbait Paca craws on em, GYCB Kreature rigged skirt first, maybe sweet beavers.. and maybe Yum Woolybrush hogs.

Any of you guys fish soft plastic on jigheads w/weedguards? If so, which soft plastics produce best for you on these heads? Thanks!

Paca Craws are excellent, the Rage Tail Lobster is one of today's

"Hot Baits" and I like the GYCB Flappin' Hog. I fish these soft plastics

on Evolution Shak-e2 jig heads. Don't forget your MegaStrike or JJ's

Magic.

where do you usually fish these? Points? Rip Rap? Docks? all of these?

Where can I find these jig heads? Does Gander or dicks carry them? Thanks in advance!  Oh yeah, my home lake is Smith Mountain...we don't have pads or grass mats, we have rock, brush, and more rock and brush for the most part.....lots of docks too....

I will use many different plastics that you may normally tx rig on shakey jigheads.  Ie. Zoom baby brush hogs, rage lobsers, creature baits, salty craws, lizards, etc.  not just for finesse worms.  ;)

You should have kept tourney fishing, I bet you would have been very successful with the sponsors. You can plug them all in just three sentences. How are those Triton livewells working? ;D

I love Keitech Little Spiders or Yamamoto 4" Twin Tail Hula's around docks on jigheads with weed guards.

I buy my jig head hooks from basspro.com.  You can really fish them anywhere.  But the ones with a brush guard help keep them weedless for fishing cover.
