BRONZEBACK67 Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 I will be at St. Claire at least two times this year. Once in the Spring and once in the Summer. In the summer, what should I be targeting? I fish Erie a lot but, St. Claire is not Erie and the depths are just not there. I would assume find deep water but, I am not able to find deep water that produces. Thank you in advance. Quote
BRONZEBACK67 Posted January 12, 2011 Author Posted January 12, 2011 Okay...Maybe I should post a few more times before asking a question. :-/ Quote
jenga Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Hey, summer fishingin on LSC is tough. what time of the year are you planning on coming here. Quote
jenga Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 If it is between July and Aug. then I would concentrate where there is current and at least 14 fow. Quote
BRONZEBACK67 Posted January 13, 2011 Author Posted January 13, 2011 It will be in late July. We were up there last summer and the first day of fishing our buddy was struck and killed by lightning. We are going back to fish a memorial get together. Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 About the only luck I've had in the late summer was dragging tubes around the firecracker. Quote
jenga Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 I heard that story. he was stuck in the middle of the lake right over by south channel. Quote
BRONZEBACK67 Posted January 14, 2011 Author Posted January 14, 2011 He ducked into the reeds, stood up to make sure his uncle made it and that was it. Thanks for the information guys. I really do appreciate it. Quote
jenga Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 that sucks man, I am sorry for your loss. I would concentrate around the firecracker or go into the St. Clair river. most of the bass move into the river for the summer and follow the bait. I would suggest go into the river find out what depth they are in then stay in that depth and drift with the current. Tubes and drop shots in 20 to 25 fow. Jenga Quote
