NewAngler Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 Going on a smallie trip this weekend. Will a dropshot with a fluke work okay for smallies in moving water? I'd imagine it be killer, and am going to try it regardless what you guys tell me. I'd just like to have reassuarnce. Quote

I found that zoom tiny flukes work the best instead of using a weight use a shakey head and fish a worm under your dropshot Quote
NewAngler Posted September 24, 2010 Author Posted September 24, 2010 Free-king genius! Thanks man. Quote
MMan16 Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 i would think it would work great. you may have to use a heavier weight than normal depending on the current. Quote
Super User Tin Posted September 26, 2010 Super User Posted September 26, 2010 Use a cylinder or tear-drop weight. The rocks will eat the ball weights up. Quote
RandySBreth Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 I like to use a 5" Kalin grub for drop shot in the river, but no matter what plastic you go with make sure it's nose hooked, and straight, or you'll get it twisted by the current. Quote
