WanderLust Posted April 27, 2010 Author Posted April 27, 2010 NICE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks! Got em' using a JSR7 (perch) in about 10-12' of murky water. Also got a nice walleye using a gold jointed rebel. 1st eye I ever caught from shore. Quote
Denea Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 Nice smallie Wander! Best of luck to you throughout the season! Denea Quote
montrose Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 I love the smallie action, especially top-water. I use a Baby Bass 1 minus and it gets hit hard. Nice smallie! Quote
Super User webertime Posted April 29, 2010 Super User Posted April 29, 2010 Where in VT are you? Couple weeks until the rivers are full of those! Quote
WanderLust Posted April 29, 2010 Author Posted April 29, 2010 Where in VT are you? Couple weeks until the rivers are full of those! Heck yeah! I'm in North Colchester. Snow has dampened my spirits but looks like a good fishing weekend! Thanks for the comments everyone! Quote
justinl8688 Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 Nice, can't wait to target them this year Quote
Brewerbass Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Nice fish. The sun will shine this weekend to get you going again. Quote
WanderLust Posted May 16, 2010 Author Posted May 16, 2010 and another... This one went after a full size 7 inch jointed Xrap in Gold. Nice fish, great fight. everyone was happy. Quote
birdy Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 Nice fish, congrats. Man I got to get in on the smallie action. Quote
WanderLust Posted May 20, 2010 Author Posted May 20, 2010 Nice fish, congrats. Man I got to get in on the smallie action. Thanks! Probably my nicest bass this year. Should get a chance to fish at lunch and some this evening. Quote
Super User Crestliner2008 Posted June 4, 2010 Super User Posted June 4, 2010 Beautiful smallies! Congrats! Quote
WanderLust Posted June 5, 2010 Author Posted June 5, 2010 Indeed. I have recently discovered the senko worm and I got to say catching many more smallies. More Pics to come. I got three at lunch in 45 minutes on a 5 inch watermelon with black flake. On another note also learning about line twist with worm fishing. Very annoying. Using a small ball bearing swivel to counter act that now. Quote
WanderLust Posted June 17, 2010 Author Posted June 17, 2010 Just got into tube fishing as well. Smallies have been inhaling them. Quote
WanderLust Posted June 20, 2010 Author Posted June 20, 2010 This is the best smallie I've ever caught. Didn't have a scale. Destroyed a 3.5" Yum Tube (June Bug) Quote
Super User webertime Posted June 22, 2010 Super User Posted June 22, 2010 If you ever want to get together I'll show you the joy of Yo-Zuri Pin's and Ika's (and sweet VT'er arm tanlines) 4.5lbs 20" Quote
WanderLust Posted June 22, 2010 Author Posted June 22, 2010 Nice fish!!! I rock some pretty hurting tan lines as well. Been fishin weightless senkos and tubes lately. Where do you normally fish? Here's on from Allen Point: Quote
WanderLust Posted June 27, 2010 Author Posted June 27, 2010 Tubes, jigs and senkos been killing smallies for me lately! On Friday my sons and I caught 17 smallies on weightless t-rigged senkos, tubes and jigs. Over half of them were 2 pounds+; so much fun. Quote
WanderLust Posted July 6, 2010 Author Posted July 6, 2010 Those are beauties! Thanks birdy. Been having some great luck lately. We have temps in the high 90's now though so my SMB run has probably come to an end. Here's another though: Quote
