While whitebass fishing at the MN side of osceola i kept getting these smallies to bite. It got pretty anoying since its no use since they are not open yet and i wanted some whitebass to eat! anyways after a few smallies i seem to enjoy the fight they put up. This was about a week or 2 ago and now i wonder aren't they in the post spawn mode now in MN? I cant wait to fish for them again when they open but then again I don't know if they are still spawning right now or in the post spawn mode and if they are in the post spawn mode when will it end and they will go back to normal and start biting again? Hopefully its before the openner so they have time to get back to normal.

They are pre spawn on the croix right now, they will be spawning soon if this weather holds, my guess is within the next 2 weeks, remember that the croix bass season follows the MN season sso it doesn't open until Memorial day weekend. Inland WI waters will open for Bass (C&R for the first few weeks) with the regular WI season next weekend
