Seriously?

You've already asked this question in at least one other thread, and got a few good replies.

You really sweat the details too much kid. Stop asking about when the "best" time to fish is, and actualy go fish.

You'll learn way more on the water, and you'll realize that worrying about the moon phase/pressure/whatever is pointles the vast majority of the time.

What you should be researching (as in looking up on your own, not posting 4 different threads for the same question) is how water temperature and current affect river smallmouth.  These variables are several times more important than that moon phase vodoo and pressure nonsense.

You can learn a lot on this site, but at the same time you'll learn more by actually going out and breaking it down yourself.

Time on the water is way more valuable than reading about it. Man if I worried about all the little things I'd be bald by now. Just because the calendar says that the fishing is going to be bad, doesn't mean you shouldn't go! I've gone on days that according to common knowledge should have been terrible fishing and yet I hammer them.

Who knows? Maybe you will go out there and unlock some little secret tactic that you could later share with us! ;)

What IS important:

In rivers, current is the most important factor

Water temperatures

Water clarity

Primary and secondary food sources (shad, bluegill, crawdads)

Structure, cover, depth and transition

From a practical standpoint, wind

So, what to do? First of all, ask around and see

if the locals can give you a few tips. Next, basic

lurers: single tail grubs on a jig head, 3 1/2" tubes,

5" Senko, Fat Ika, 6 1/2" Kut Tail (T-rigged, drop

shot or shaky head), jerkbaits, Wiggle Warts,

Bandit 200, jig with trailer, baby craws (T-rig or

dropshot) and spinnerbaits (chartreuse & white).

If live bait is your thing, big minnows will out-fish

any other option. If you are in a boat, split shot

with an octopus circle hook. From the shore, under

a bobber.

Now, go fishing!

i guess everyone here rather hate and get mad besides share what they know. my last post i asked about the barometric factor and now im asking about the moon phases. dont like this thread dont reply its that simple. go complain about someone elses post or something. seems you guys spend more time hating my post and whining about my grammor more than you guys fish.

I didn't hate your post, I was just stating that you should go out and take them on!!

I honestly don't worry about those things, maybe I should? I worry more about feed, water temp, wind direction, structure and which way the water is flowing or not flowing!

maybe a guy like me just wants to learn all the factors anyways its hard to find specific bass fishing factors online by searching and googling so i thaught id ask the people who love bass fishing like me but apparently its just an anoyance to them to talk about bass fishing or at least from what i am seeing here. they rather talk about spell check and grammor or just tell me to find what i need else were. like i said dont like what im asking dont reply. dont like the way i spell and put words together dont read or reply.

This was your very first post on this forum:

im a largemouth fishermen who switched to smallies because of a new location issue. anyways i know that steady barometric pressure will be a good to great fishing for largemouths but what about smallies? i know that rising baro's is great fishing for largemouths but what about smallies? before during and after a rainfall light showers or storm is great for largemouth in my exp. but what about smallies? hot high pressure clear skies days are terrible for largemouths in my exp. but what about smallies? and i know this is weird because i know a bit about baro's but when its rising the baro meter numbers are higher numbers like 40 50 60 and when its low baro pressure its baro numbers like 20 30 10 15 right? and also if you guys can what are moon phases fishing and how do you fish with moon phases?

this is all from river fishing
