milepost43 Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 have been using a NOAA site to follow currents in Erie and sometimes they are pretty strong and obviously change direction with the wind. Can't say I have been able to use it to catch anymore SM during our early Spring trip, but am trying. Any thoughts? thanks. Quote
bugman Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 Eire is like a big river flowing from west to east. That being said I don't think the flow is strong enough to make a difference. Wind/waves and temp is what will effect the fishing. jmho Quote
mako Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 Agree with Bugman. Imagine a swimming pool with a garden hose running into it at one end and another garden hose running out the other end. Not enough of a current to make a difference unless your right by the hoses. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted March 17, 2010 Super User Posted March 17, 2010 What buoy are you reading currents for? Quote
