jenga Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 I am going to lake Erie this spring and fishing Presque Isle Bay just wondering at what temperature of the bay and Erie the smallmouth spawn. Thanks, Jenga Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted February 14, 2010 Super User Posted February 14, 2010 Jenga it all starts in the mid 50's water temps and up. Usually occurs in late May thru June. The bay heats up faster than the main lake. Not all smallie spawn in the bay. Quote
Eternal Angler Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Dwight Hottle right on, I can't wait to do some Detroit river fishing for smallies. Quote
bobbyc Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 Dwight? How much helium did you pump into that fish!? (avatar pic) Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted February 15, 2010 Super User Posted February 15, 2010 bobbyc None. That's all goby juice. Quote
Bass Afishinado Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 Hey Jenja - What difference does the spawn make. Last year you were struggling so much you threatend to sell all your gear on Craigslist. A smallmouth classic moment. Quote
jenga Posted February 18, 2010 Author Posted February 18, 2010 Hey Lengemann, Ha Ha, I remember you staying in the hotel while we fished in the rain. Another smallmouth classic Quote
