SLO_ROLL Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 Who are the top 5 giant SM gurus? And have they written books? Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted November 30, 2009 Super User Posted November 30, 2009 Here's some reading for you: http://www.in-fisherman.com/smallmouth-bass This is the book: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d.html?a=0929384504 Quote
Super User Crestliner2008 Posted December 1, 2009 Super User Posted December 1, 2009 Google & study "Billy Westmoreland". Quote
tnbassfisher Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 If you are into fly fishing, then check out Harry Murray. Quote
Hot Rod Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 You may want to look at KVD's two books. They are not exclusively about SM but there is some good stuff in there that has helped me, particulary his philosophies on lure presentations. Quote
Bass-a-holic Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 In-Fisherman Smallmouth Bass - Handbook of Strategies is a very well written book. You can find it on Amazon for under $10. Quote
Bass-a-holic Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 Kevin Van Dam's books are also a must read for any angler! Quote
A-Rob Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 For the less academic (haha) I bought a VHS tape of Woo Daves smallmouth tactics for 0.70 dollars at bass pro. It shows his favorite tactics for smallies. He won the classic with smallmouth I think. If not the classic some other b.a.s.s. elite tourney, either way dude knows how to fish 'em! Good luck bro Quote
SWMIBASSER Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 I've got the In-Fisherman book, but got it a few years ago. Has any content been updated, or is it just the cover? Quote
Super User MALTESE FALCON Posted January 11, 2010 Super User Posted January 11, 2010 Well, I haven't had time to write my book yet. So, until I do, the two I would read are Al Lindner's, and KVD's. ;D ;D Falcon Quote
maineman Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 I hope RW does not right a book. just being on this site i am spending way to much money for tackle. He has made me a believer in his advice. :) Quote
