Gregory25 Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 What is the word on Dale Hollow lake? Heard they are hitting on hair jigs. Quote
Chris W Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 Should start hitting crankbaits anytime. Stephen Headricks tournament is this weekend should know more after that. Quote
Gregory25 Posted November 7, 2009 Author Posted November 7, 2009 Thanks, I got word today there hitting the Hoss Fly in 20-35 ft. on rocky banks. Water cooled down fast this fall, it shouldn't be long before they start hitting the Fly, can't wait. Quote
Chris W Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 There were very few smallmouth weighed in for tournament, biggest I saw was a under the slot fish that weighed about 3lbs did not see any over the slot at all. We did not get bit on any of our smallmouth spots at all. But bluebird sky with very little wind is not a good day on DH. Water needs to get a little cooler before I go back. Quote
KevO Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Check out smalljaw.com it's all about Dale Hollow! The Billy Westmoreland tournament is this weekend I sure wish I could fish it but I've got a wedding to go to. The last time I was there was around the first of Nov and the fishing was horrible. Bluebird skies and water in the high 60's still made it difficult. We did manage a couple smallies but it was tough. The water is perfect for the jig right now from what I heard. Even heard a few fish being caught on the ole fly. I can't wait for that! Quote
JWallin Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 most of the smallies have left the lake and headed up the tributaries and creeks runiing into dale hollow. that report comes from the guides and kentucky fih n game. we noticed it too when we was down the a few weeks back. pork n jig is working too.
