simplejoe Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 I just picked up a SnagProof Leech at a local store. Anybody use these for Smallies? It looked like it would be a bass magnet, But I don't have time to pre fish with it by tomorrow before the tournament. I just didn't want to waste time throwing it tomorrow if it was getting a bad review on here. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks. joe Quote
simplejoe Posted October 27, 2009 Author Posted October 27, 2009 Well after using it 15 Mins. on Sunday I threw it away. It's one of the worst baits ever known to man. It wouldn't stay upright underwater, it fall over on it side so you couldn't work it like most baits and when you reel it back to the boat it would spin around like a blade on a spinnerbait would and get your line all twisted up. JUNK > I still like the frogs, But if I use a frog then it's gotta be a RageTail. Quote
Delaware Valley Tackle Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 A standard black ribbon tail worm would probably work as well as anything else to mimic a leach, which ain't a bad idea. Quote
simplejoe Posted October 30, 2009 Author Posted October 30, 2009 I use ribbontail worms all the time in green pumpkin or red shad colors though. I just wanted something different to try and see if I catch a little more fish. Quote
