RPnKC Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 Kansas is far from a destination for Smallmouths, but I did manage to bring a few to the boat this weekend. Went Friday afternoon to beat the Holiday crowd. I caught Smallmouths, Largemouths, Spotted, and White bass on the same presentations, and added a bonus of a couple of drag ripping wipers to the mix. Addictive to say the least, I couldn't stand it, so I went on Labor Day as well and suffered through the jetski's, tubers, and party pontoons just to feel those smallmouths tug......so hard...it was worth it. Nothing big, except my smile. Quote

ks cranker Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 RP - Great KS Smallies! Would you mind sharing what Lake those Smallies are from? I've only been to Melvern to chase Smallies. I'd like to get to Wilson or Milford some day.... Something magical about those things... Quote
Super User skunked_again Posted September 14, 2009 Super User Posted September 14, 2009 nice!!! did you get the gallons of rain on your lake as well? Quote
RPnKC Posted September 16, 2009 Author Posted September 16, 2009 nice!!! did you get the gallons of rain on your lake as well? The Friday before Labor Day, it sprinkled some. Water levels were at least 3' higher a week later when I went back the third time, so the rain must have come after Labor Day. Quote
