Super User Dwight Hottle Posted April 29, 2009 Author Super User Posted April 29, 2009 Spaz, We usually drift. If we can't locate fish we will troll until we find them. Here is another one. Quote
I Love BassResource Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 I can't help but giggle like a little girl. Now that's what I call a smallmouth... great fish! Quote
BigBassGuy Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Awesome fish!! Did you get a length on those? Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted April 29, 2009 Author Super User Posted April 29, 2009 Bigbassguy No I didn't measure any of mine. PK, a Georgia boy got a 6lb-3oz which was his pb & it measured 21.5 long by about 16 girth. Quote
sage Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 Great pictures , I hope to be heading up soon. We usually pound them in PIB but this year would like to fish more in the big lake. Around what depths were you fishing if you don't mind. Again congrats on some great fish. Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted April 30, 2009 Super User Posted April 30, 2009 DH, What a Tremendous Fish ! I'm sitting here just shakin' my head . . . . WOW ! A-Jay Quote
shaw24 Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 Those are amazing fish! I bet they were a fun fight. Congrats Quote
Sfritr Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 Those fish had W.A.L.L written all over themselves. NICE! Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted April 30, 2009 Author Super User Posted April 30, 2009 Sage look for rocky bottom in the 10 to 30 foot depths. If you find humps work it over good. Quote
sage Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 Thanks , like I said before my dad and I have had a lot of 80-100 smallie days in the bay. But they usually top out around 4# or so for us. Would love to get into some 5-6 lbers. Plus with the deeper water and there shoulders you cant beat that. Quote
spin king Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 wow. nice looking fish...great photos showing them off too! Quote
