I have been pike fishing in the st. marys river by Sugar Island for a long time.  This year i would like to target smallies for a day or two while we are up there......anyone ever fish that river system, and if so what did you have success with?

We have caught some monsters inadvertantly while trolling stick baits and cranks!  Just wondering if anyone fishes there and what they use
