Hey fellas,

I usually go for the green bass but when duty calls I answer ;). Heres a 20+ incher I got out of the South Holston(The Dead Sea) last weekend in a tourney. She went 4.1lbs spawned out. Not hardly a pretty fish but she looked good to me :)

Are you crazy? all smallmouth are beautiful. And this one is better than average with strong, dark markings.

NICE FISH! 4LB smallies are no joke. I got a slimmer, shorter 3lb variant this weekend and that fish was hell bent on destroying my gear. :D

Nothing like a good smallie, beats those lazy bucketmouths. ;D ;D

What!

She's a beauty, dark and striped...

Exactly the coloration I  would choose for a replica mount.

Any fish is a pretty one, don't discriminate on color  :-X

Sorry fellas, those light colored ones kill me ;)

jfriendva, SOHO isnt called the dead sea for nothing. I was fortunate enough to be fishing with a guy who had fished there for years and had one a federation tourney the day before. If you can get up with someone who knows how to get them there you could probably do pretty well. As far as which species is better, it might be a tie but I think smallies are better. Ive heard of both 8lb LMB and SMB coming out of there and the SMB is a lot closer to a record, so I'd go for them.
