Tim Ford Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 Have any of you ever tried these sidearm spinnerbaits? I've never seen them before a couple of weeks ago. I was at a local bait shop, and he had a big banner for Secret Weapon Lures outside. Apparently the company is based out of Brentwood, TN (which is basically Nashville). I don't know if they are nationally known or not. I bought one, but I haven't given it a try yet. If you have used one, I'd like to hear your thoughts on its performance. I can't imagine it would be any different than any other spinnerbait, but I could be wrong. Have you ever seen another spinnerbait with blades like this one before? Check it out and see for yourself: http://www.secretweaponlures.com/arsenal/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=3 Quote
Super User J Francho Posted May 1, 2009 Super User Posted May 1, 2009 They work. Get the mini kit. Quote
Super User Hammer 4 Posted May 1, 2009 Super User Posted May 1, 2009 First I've heard of them...they do look good though, and kinda pricey.. Quote
Super User Tin Posted May 1, 2009 Super User Posted May 1, 2009 It was beat to a pulp after a couple of fish so I went back to War Eagles. But I did catch fish on it. Not as "thumpy" as I expected though... :-/ Quote
Super User Crestliner2008 Posted May 2, 2009 Super User Posted May 2, 2009 Talk about bringing back memories! I use to use double bladed spinner baits way back in the '60's. The Shannon Twin Spin (bucktail) was one. Excellent drop bait. You could walk down a ledge with one quite effectively. You just don't see this design sold anymore. With the older models, the connect for the split arms, was at the eye tie. I may have to buy a few of this "new" design and give it a whirl! Quote
