Izzy3374 Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 I have never caught a smallmouth in my life and I would like to change that this year. Anyone know of any good Small mouth fisheries in the Northern Illinois area, that are accessible for shoreline fishing (I do not have a boat). I know you can catch em' out of the harbors of Lake Michigan in the spring, but other than that I am clueless. HELP ME!!! Quote
Uncle Leo Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 Try the Fox River. Not sure about McHenry which is north but down near the Mongomery Dam I caught some. Quote
fatbass Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 Its a bit south of you but the Kankakee river is good. The Kankakee River State Park has a lot of shoreline access on both sides and a lot of smallies are caught there as well. Good Luck! Quote
