ok just realized, that I left out a pieceof critical info. I was asking about rods, just failed to mention it. What rod action and power do you use for tubes and grubs?

I concur with the above, but my preferrance is 6# - 8# test fluorocarbon lines. My reason is that these lines sink pretty rapidly whereas the braids or fused lines have a tendency to float; thereby creating a bit more of a belly between your rod tip and your jig.

Rod power? Or action? They're two different things.

For tubes and grubs I'd go with medium power, fast action.

I use 6# p-line cxx. Tried braid a few times in my river and it's nothing but a nightmare.
