squid Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 This is a legal size smallmouth in Michigan, and it weighed only .87lbs. I was the bump master at this weigh in. The guy in the grey shirt caught it and thought he caught a pan fish until it got close to the boat. Then when it was measured...he just started laughing cause it was 14 1/4" long. The only fish he caught that was legal....lol : Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted February 13, 2009 Super User Posted February 13, 2009 Hmm... I don't post comments about tournament guys anymore... : Quote

squid Posted February 13, 2009 Author Posted February 13, 2009 That fish is skinny. Looks terrible. :-/ Cass Lake, in Michigan is where that and more like it came in for wiegh in. 5 fish for just over 4lbs...oh it was bad. I am not a fan of that lake one bit. On a good note though..big bass was over 4lbs and the team had 13lbs....wonder where they found those fish...lol Quote
farmpond1 Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 You could probably read a newspaper through that fish-before you wrapped it in it. ;D Quote

Triton9 Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 man. as my papa would say,"that one's on the slimfast diet" haha Quote
BassinMichigan Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 I saw that picture of you on another website and I actually told myself, "The only lake with smallies that tiny is Cass Lake." I did manage a couple nice 3.5 lb'ers while prefishing there last year which made me concentrate on the brown fish on tournament day. What a mistake! Quote
fishnjohn Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 Don't feel bad. I have weighed in several fish less than a pound at tournaments. Quote
MaineBassMan Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 I would of been embarrassed but every ounce counts! : Quote
bass wrangler569 Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 I would of been embarrassed but every ounce counts! : X2 I'd rather be embarrased than find out I lost by an ounce because I threw back a midget! Quote
