This is a legal size smallmouth in Michigan, and it weighed only .87lbs. I was the bump master at this weigh in. The guy in the grey shirt caught it and thought he caught a pan fish until it got close to the boat. Then when it was measured...he just started laughing cause it was 14 1/4" long. The only fish he caught that was legal....lol :D ::)

That fish is skinny. Looks terrible. :-/

Cass Lake, in Michigan is where that and more like it came in for wiegh in.  5 fish for just over 4lbs...oh it was bad.  I am not a fan of that lake one bit.  On a good note though..big bass was over 4lbs and the team had 13lbs....wonder where they found those fish...lol :o

I think some studies need to be done on that lake if there are more fish like that one.

I saw that picture of you on another website and I actually told myself, "The only lake with smallies that tiny is Cass Lake."  I did manage a couple nice 3.5 lb'ers while prefishing there last year which made me concentrate on the brown fish on tournament day.  What a mistake!
