SMfisher Posted February 9, 2009 Author Posted February 9, 2009 today i started off with 1/8 Dons handcrafted rabbit hair jig in black caught 4 with it then i lost it in some rocks, caught 1 on gulp alive white with black back. thats what i lost one and missed one with after that i put on a senko had no luck with it so i went to a 3/16 pumpkinseed jig i think it was the strike king one i can't tell by looking i just started using jigs, they were biting real slow and was long time between bites. it was a better looking day today than yesterday thought i would catch at least one or two bigger bass but there's always the next trip. JCrzy4Bass Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 Wish I could be fishing for smallies now but my dad just recently had hand surgery and I can't canoe by myself to save my life so, that's just gonna have to wait til' the Rap warms up for a wade. Looks like all those smallies were pretty healthy. Can't beat those hair jigs in colder water like that. Nice catches man. I haven't fished the New yet but I really wanna get down there this year (3 and a half hour drive from me in NOVA). Maybe I'll look you up if my dad and I decide to head down. If you can catch those in February I'm sure come spring/summer you can load a boat. Good times man. Quote
SMfisher Posted February 10, 2009 Author Posted February 10, 2009 come on down JCrazy4Bass, there is about a mile of the river that i wade don't use a boat. at night i have a blast thats when you might catch your biggest fish jitterbugging Quote
