Hey guys,  All my life i was taught to use hard baits such as spinners and rapalas.  But they dont seem to be as effective as they once were so now im looking to get into rubber and plastic baits and see how it works but i am clueless as to what to buy and how to use them.  If u have any hints or techniques please let me know

Look through a few pages in this section.

Lure/ bait threads are numerous.

On the otherhand, here is something

specific that I recently posted:

In low light, the Zara Spook and LC Pointer rule!

Later in the morning and throughout the day,

Fat Ika <12' of water, 3 1/2" tubes, GYCB Hula

Grubs and Single Tail Grubs are great producers.

Lizards on a split shot have woked for me, too.

For big smallmouth and a deeper presentation,

the 3/4 oz Ledgebuster Single Willow Blade

spinnerbait is another suggestion.

Good luck!

Get you some black, gray, brown and green tubes.  Rig them with jig heads or fish them weedless Texas rigged.  Learn to catch fish on them then branch out to other plastics.

learn how to set up a texas rig and try 4 or 5 inch worms. (prob better for largemouth)

try a jig head (i like weedless ones) with a double tail hula grub.

inch both of these along the bottom with slight rod tip movements.

give them hops from time to time.

green pumpkin is a good all around color
