I fished a tributary for Erie called the Catt Creek. So I'm sure the action was just as hot on Erie. Had my best day of fishing ever. 40+ smallies and I went through a whole 20 pack of GYCB 5" Grubs and than continued to slam them on *** Lake Fork Craw. Still shaking my head and if anyone told me that they caught 40+ in 4 hours I would call them a liar. But Denea and I basically have done that in the past couple of weeks. Just crazy.

Anxious to hear if the fishing was equally good on the main lake.

I'll post some pics once I get my lazy but to transfer them from my camera to my flash drive. Should be up tomorrow.

I fished Lake St. Claire above the river from erie. It was awesome. We had a group of 5 boats and landed over 300 smallies. 145 were in the 3-4lb range and another 40 where well over 4 and some as big as 7. The biggest was 7lb11oz. I have never had time on the water like that. We fished fri night and all day sat. and it was amazing. We also boated 6 musky, 2 walleye, and more rockbass than we could count. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

St. Claire is a great place for smallies. We hold 2 day tourneys up there and I love it. The drive sucks but the fishin is GREAT!!!! Lots of hogs in that water. Who says pigs can't swim........

Fish in Presque Isle Bay and did ok.  Just fished sandy and weedy flats in 3-4 feet of water and caught some there.  Caught on white grubs and that was the only thing we could catch them on.

Took the boat out of sunset bay on fathers day with a buddy and had a good morning throwing 3" berkley gulp gobies and some different crankbaits, fishing is still alittle slow with the spawning still on but got some nice 3-4pounders. Had a monster smallie on for about a minute but unfortunatly He gave me the elusive smallie jump and shake and threw that rat-l trap right back at me.... my heart sunk knowing I just lost what looked to be a 6-7 lb lake erie smallie(cant catch um all)  took the two boys(10&11) out for an evening trip and caught a few more nice ones....GREAT WAY TO SPEND YOUR FATHERS DAY!!!  theres never a bad day on the big pond!!!!!
