Got back after sunset from my first trip on a "new" Lake near home - It turned out to be quite an afternoon - bagged my Personal best SMB ! I was alone so I went with the "net" photo - At just over 21" she was a TOAD ! She recovered quickly from her photo op - and splashed my face for good measure as she swam off . . . . . .

Looks like it's gonna be a good Year ! :)

"Got to love it when the swim off hard on release" Yes - miked62 - it's the BEST ! As a boy I fished with both my Dad and His Dad - and they both always got such a kick out of watching their catch swim off - - that started over forty-five years ago for me - and it never gets old. I have really grow to enjoy this aspect of fishing. I'll admit I used to simply "Toss" the under sized fish back without much regard for their survival - but somewhere along the line I figured it out - - besides, I bet the fish feels it's pretty important - ;)

Thanks.

I have nothing against keeping fish - but I could not bring myself to put a fillet knife through something like that . . . . . .
