wieghted   but im not a huge fan of the fat ika

If you've been using it with a weight I can understand why you're not a fan.  It works best weightless, rigged backwards.

I only fish the Fat Ika weightless and weedless, skirt forward on 4/0 EWG Gamakatsu Offset Worm Hook. In still water, <12', this is my most productive bait. I have not been very successful fishing the Fat Ika in moving water (rivers).

Ditto RW. I fish it weightless is slow water. Its not much in moving water at all. I use a 4/0 G-Lock Gama. I like green pumpkin/red flake and sometimes salt and pepper can be good.
