Tetra Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 I know that Berkley Gulp! Gobies are proven smallmouth baits when rigged on a drop shot. I fish Lake St. Clair. My question is, what kind of hooks should i rig them with. considering their large bulbous figure they seem too large for a standard size octopus or drop shot hook. what can you guys recommend? Quote
bassnleo Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 I use a regular Gammie drop shot / split shot hook, size 1. Nose hook the bait, works just fine....... Quote
smallieking Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 i have used them in really deep water for a verticle presentation for suspended fish and i had success just using a normal ewg worm hook i think i used a 3/0 gami not 100% sure though Quote
