flippin Posted December 25, 2007 Posted December 25, 2007 the jig i make is1/8 oz and comb silicone and bear hair Quote
Supermat Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 Lost another, The paint holds up really well in rocks. I fish some very gnarly rocks out here where you can't help but break off jig after jig and they've held up really well in those conditions. Definitely keep them in mind, I've honestly not found another company that ties such detailed skirts with different colors. (We have a lot of amazing companies out here...I wouldn't be getting jigs shipped from Wisconsin to California if they weren't unique and worth every penny!) Quote
Joe. S Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Going for smallies I prefer 3/8 oz jigs with 2" trailers, I want a decent profile but not a giant one, for colors I really like pj's bull shoal craw color, it a mix of a lighrter green a darker green and a few black strands, it seems to work well here, I match that with a 2" green pumpkin trailer. I also have had good success with straight all black jigs and chunks. Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 <--------- in 5/16-3/8oz most of the time Quote
dale Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 I am surprised that no one has mentioned Salty Spiders Made by Cabin Creek Bait Company.... Smallies love this bait!! My favorite is the green pumpkin http://www.cabincreekco.com/NEW/index3.phtml?iprod=167 Dale Quote
Ontariobassin Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 If you haven't tried #3 and #4 blue fox inlines silver/blue on rivers than you should give it a try. Swimming a 3 or 4" smoke coloured grub with a 1/8 to 1/4 oz jig works wonders and throw a topwater like a pop R and you will have a sore arm at the end of the day. Quote
