MarVaBC Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 I'd start out with some baits that will for sure catch fish (quantity), then branch out from there and start focusing on quality. Here are my suggestions for quantity: -3'' or so grubs on 1/8 oz jighead...med/slow retrieve -small crankbaits (shad or crawdad colored) -soft jerkbaits/sticks like a fluke or senko -small topwaters - torpedo, buzzbaits That should do the trick on a lake or river. In the lakes you may have to focus on deeper water if its summertime. Also tubes are crucial, but are an aquired taste and can be frustrating at first (snags a plenty!)....work like a charm though Good Luck! Quote
fishnaddiction Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 dependin your fishing prefence(alot of small fish or few monsters) i would say to target quick dropping shorelines and fish what ever deep visible structure u can find to catch them. i like to use 1/16 weedless jigheads with a green plumpkin 3 inch senko on it and just bounce it around the deep structure. You be sure to hook into a few smallmouth by doing this. Quote
