booneangler Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 I was just wondering where the smallies are right now in the rivers i fish the South Holston River here in East Tennessee. Where should i try should i try the calm water or should i hit the swifter water. I been throwing small Rapala #7 minnows and crawl dad plugs with no luck >. So im wondering what would be the best bet for these fish right now and as the summer goes forword. What should i switch to and where should i find the fish at. Thanks for the info. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted May 3, 2007 Super User Posted May 3, 2007 Focus on breaks in current, ridges, ledges, humps and pools: structure and transition. I suggest jerkbaits early and late, soft plastics all day: grubs, Hula Grubs, lizards, craws and 3 1/2" tubes. Quote
booneangler Posted May 4, 2007 Author Posted May 4, 2007 maybe try next week and see what i can come up with. Where will the fish go as summer comes along. Same places. Quote
