Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted February 8, 2007 Super User Posted February 8, 2007 Senko, you went to RI last year to fish right? You can always plan a trip up here in May for brown fish....I'll put you on some SICK topwater action. Quote
tipptruck1 Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 Hey russ you ned to head to northen Wisconsin. Me and my buddy will put you on some nice smallies. Over the summer me and my buddy would catch about 10 each. Heres the good part they kill jigs and wacky riged worms up here. We can also catch these guys on top water plugs. Quote
RI_Bass_Guy Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 Glad to take you Mashpee/wakeby this summer, I have to prefish so you can jump in and some of these. Quote
dhuffnmu Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 Definatly get to Michigan. Either St. Clair, Saginaw Bay or Lake Erie. You will not find smallmouth fishing any better anywhere in the world as far as numbers and great size. 25-28 lb five fish limits coming in last summer. You have to have atleast 21-22 to cash a check. At times you can get hundreds a day with most being close to 3lbs. Get over this way I will hook you up. Quote
Madhouse27 Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 Russ (hey I'm back by the way) I usually have the third week in September off. You're more than welcome to slide on up to Maine and join me for a lobster or two and some bronzeback mayhem. Should be into the new house by then so there's plenty of room and the fall fishing will be crazy. Don't forget to bring the Coors Light twins with you when you come Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted February 15, 2007 Author Posted February 15, 2007 Wow, where did all these Mass/Ri guys come from???? Guys, we WILL be getting together this summer/fall. Perhaps Quabbin, sounds central to many. This place is growing with such speed that my neighbors are signing up and I didn't even know it!! I'm in E. Greenwich, I hope to fish with many of you this year. There is going to be a fund raiser - ice out tourny for CAST for Kids here in RI, most likely April 1, if any of you locals want in, it's a great cause and would be a great time to meet many of y'all. Thanks for all the offers! madhouse, I got a "bacardi girl" I'm still close with, does she count? Quote
Super User KU_Bassmaster. Posted February 15, 2007 Super User Posted February 15, 2007 Guys, I have 1 (one) smallmouth under my belt in this lifetime. That ain't right. I am putting out an appeal to anyone in the NE area who would be kind enough to take me to your bronzeback honey hole. I will bring the food/drink and cigars and ,of course, gas money. CAN SOMEONE HELP ME!?! I think I can help you out. I have a local lake that has a few smallies in it. I consider my self quite the expert compared to you. I have caught at least 3 or 4 times the smallies you have, plus that massive PB smallie. Anytime Quote
