lucasbass25 Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 I have recently bought some firetiger baits and wondering when to use them. in stained water, clear water, cloudy,or sunny when? Quote
trav Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Personally, I use them in stained/muddy water or cloudy days. the clearer the water and the sunny it is....the more natural colors I use. Quote
Super User iceintheveins Posted April 24, 2009 Super User Posted April 24, 2009 I use firetiger in stained water or if perch are a common forage. One of the best all around colors for water that isn't super clear. Quote
T-Bone Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 I use in most condition, except for clear water on a sunny day. Other than that I usually catch fish with it. Quote
Super User Bassin_Fin@tic Posted April 24, 2009 Super User Posted April 24, 2009 When to use it? Never. Sucks > Just my opinion Quote
carrothead Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Murky water when perch or sunfish is the main food supply. Quote
Avalonjohn44 Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 I rarely use it, I like more subtle colors. But in muddy water it will be one of my first choices... That said, Culprit makes a worm in a fire-tiger patter, it is not gaudy like you will see on a crankbait. It is a more subtle, creamy version of the classic firetiger pattern. It is very productive for me in stained water. Quote
andamtoft Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 IMO, it makes a good sunfish imitator as long as the water isn't crystal clear. Quote

heathen Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 I like the color in stained and muddy water. Quote
mrlitetackle Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 i never use the firetiger pattern anymore..... the only success i ever had with it was when i lived in south florida......i caught lots of peacock bass with it down there..... now im in orlando, and the climate gets a little chilly for peacocks, and the LM don't seem to like it, so ive ditched it all together!! moby bass Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 Firetiger is probably my most productive color in a spinner. In fact, I caught a bass last evening at our local pond, with a Joe's Flies firetiger. Quote
