Hello!

Went fishing for the first time IN A LONG time yesterday.

Had a couple decent strikes but no love. Turns out I had no idea how to rig the hook in a plactic worm. :D...well I do now. Truly an amazing resource you have here. Next week I will try out a couple Pop-R's I picked up. The worm technique appears a bit advanced for me at this point.

I consider myself brand new at the sport. I fish the lakes of Central Arizona.

Thanks all for this great forum!

Welcome Jim, you picked a great forum to learn about bass fishing. Those pop-R lures make for some exciting surface strikes, so let us know how you make out.

Welcome Aboard. I bet it felt good to fish again after a long time of not fishing.

Thanks for the warm welcomes!

I am fortunate enough to have a HUGE Bass Pro Shop about a mile or so from my place. Wifey has a slightly different take on that. I will say this...

It's intimidating! Take about overload. Hopefully it will all make sense to me soon.
