New member here to the site. I fished a lot growing up till I was 17 in western NY and joined the military. 25 years later after getting out of the Army I have gotten hooked again! Been fishing for about 3 years now on Toledo Bend and boy do I have a lot to learn!!

Great site.

Wonderful having you with us.

Ask your questions and the guys will give you their answers, which will be many and will differ.

Remember, if you wear purple and gold when fishing in Louisiana you will catch a lot of fish.

I was in the Signal Corps in the Army. My motto was "Call Me When You Get There."

What branch were you in????  :)

Thanks for the welcome everyone.

I usually just do a lot of reading instead of asking questions. Catt doesn't know it but, he has got me into reading the maps and lookin at things I never thought of before.

I spent most of my time in the Combat Engineers. Essayons!!

When I was senior in rank I spent a lot of time as an instructor and an O/C. I live about 5 minutes from Fort Polk and work there as a civilian. The Bend is about 45 minutes away.

Welcome to BR! Are you a role player at JRTC? I was out there in June as a TM augmentee.

I don't work at roleplay. I was fortunate to get a job for the federal government as a maintenance inspector. Next time you come through look me up. I work in BLDG 8315 on North Fort right next to the loading ramp yard. Ask for the dam yankee or Tom if you need something I will help you out.

I did do a lot of O/C (observer/controller work in the box when I was still in the Army. JRTC is no joke.

Welcome aboard!

I'll bet Catt will take you out fishing on Toledo Bend. He can

show you around and might have a few tips to share. Send

him a PM after you have ten posts.

I have been reading here for a while before I joined. Catt doesn't know it yet but, he has already helped me to improve my results on the Bend!
