I stumbled across the site today while doing a little research, it looks like a good group of people and a wealth of knowledge. I hope I can learn some and contribute as well.

A little about me, I am a few days shy of turning 23 and have been fishing since I could walk. I grew up around Table Rock Lake in Missouri fishing with my late father. Bass fishing was a major part of my upbringing, my dad fished tournaments practically every weekend at different lakes and rivers, and as soon as I was able I started fishing buddy tournaments with him. He instilled a lot of fishing knowledge in me as well as the drive to succeed as a tournament angler. When most kids are interested in games, sports, and cars I was more interested in fishing. I attended college in Hawaii which took me away from Bass fishing for several months out of the year, but anytime I was in town I spent time at the lake. After loosing dad this year I returned home and enrolled online in order to stay closer to my family. I have spent a lot of time on the water since being home, getting back into the groove of things and fishing some small buddy tournaments. I had to have major knee surgery so to maximize the benefit of my down time (since I wouldn't be fishing for a month or so) I sold my boat in order to purchase a larger rig to fish larger circuits in 2011. I plan to finish my degree in the next year or so and possibly attend graduate school. I have been considering transferring to a college that has a college fishing program but will be at least finishing my fall semester online. I plan to spend a lot more time fishing, and competing on different lakes around the country next year. I hope that I can contribute to the site, and use the information here to further my hopes of being able to fish as a career.

varies on the time of year, table rock can be really quirky.  I use a lot of black/purple worms night fishing but that's usually a fall back bait.  As far as chartreuse i have them in my boxes but they hardly ever come out. Shad color baits tend to work really well 80% of the time.

I'm finally able to halfway walk again, the boat search has not been going well..i am starting to regret selling my other one but ill find one soon I'm sure.  Thanks for all the welcomes..I'm definitely liking the site
