spooksandflukes Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 My name is Dan and I am from Upstate SC, Clemson area. My home lakes are Hartwell, Keowee, and Jocassee. Also I fish central PA several times a year for smallmouth bass. I primarilly fish hartwell for largemouth and my new addiction Striped bass. I have been bass fishing for about ten yrs and I learn something new almost every time I go out. I usually spend 2 days a week fishing. Work is slow so it beats sitting around watching tv. I would like to see if there are other anglers out there from this area to swap tips and ideas. Quote

done Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 Hey clemson! I am just up the road a piece in Gastonia. Wylie is my home lake. if you ever want to swap a trip or two let me know! Quote
spooksandflukes Posted June 26, 2010 Author Posted June 26, 2010 Thanks for the welcomes...I live on the Anderson Co. side of Liberty. It is only about ten mins from my driveway to the Twin Lakes ramp. I havent fished at all this week work getting busy and its too dang hot. You get a few hours at daybreak and then fish head off back to structure. Ive found a lot of fish hanging out around massive bait in the channel bends last week but nothing was getting them up till I broke out the big spoon. Hopefully the weather will cool down some at least to a balmy 90 degrees or so. Quote

skey44 Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Hi, I am new to the site and relatively new to bass fishing. I live in Clemson less than a mile from the twelve mile creek ramp on hartwell. I shop at the fishing hole in Seneca and grady's in Anderson . Have already learned a lot from this site. Glad to see some others from the area, I am trying to take everything in and learn to catch bigger fish! The weather was in the 80's today with clouds! The fish seemed very active , but could still only land one 15" fish this morning. Saw some big ones chasing, but those never seem to be the ones to bite! So far I mostly fish drainage ponds and the shore, but I am getting a boat in the next few weeks. Have a nice fourth weekend, Scott Quote
MOBASS Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Welcome! I'm hoping to take a trip down to Lake Hartwell sometime this summer. It's quite the lake! Quote
skey44 Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Wow, that is quite the trip, is it purely for fishing? What part of the lake do you plan to put in at? Quote
MOBASS Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 I'm going on a college tour and I'm planning on stopping by Clemson. And since I'm going to be in the area I'm definitely going to fish Lake Hartwell. So I guess I'm going on a college/fishing tour. ;D Quote
skey44 Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 I graduated from Clemson in 2007, and fish Hartwell regularly (not always successful, but getting better). If you want any inside info on the college or the fishing, shoot me a pm and we could meet up. Sounds like a fun trip! Quote
BassnMan Mike Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 Welcome to BR Dan from Sunny California. Lots of great people here so pull up a chair and stick around awhile. Quote
