its actually used more as a swim bait, than like the original senko,  the paddle tails creates great action when retrieved moderately fast, but the ait doesn't wabble on the fall like a regular senko, so if you're out to be a part of the senko craze, this isn't the way...it si a great intro to the soft swim bait craze tho ;)

i've had good luck with the yamamoto swimbaits.  i got the "kit" from Cabelas in the 7" with six different colors.  they are great.  have good action.  i even cut them down to 5" if i wanna go small.

but as for the regular senko's.  i lov'em.  but have found that the trick sticks from *** you read about here are the "bomb"!  you can't beat the price and they have just as much action and weight.  for the money you can't beat ***.  half the price and twice the numbers of worms.

these are one of my favorite plastics even though they are pricey and get chewed up very easily (***...you know what to do  ;)).

i went against what was suggested and rigged it with an unpegged 3/16 and 1/4oz weight. pulled in a 2-3lb peacock a few times with this rig. good stuff.

i've even rigged it wacky, it has action of a dying fish.  it kinda moves like a fluke and has that paddle tail to give it some action.  let it fall to bottom then raise rod and let it fall on slack line.

to tell you the truth worms, senko's are my favorite bait, try fishing them extra slow it will pay off, for me i fish from the shore so i love fishing them weightless in shallower water, but deep water is just as good.. when the senko falls the bass love it and usually hit it when its falling if not attract the bass from the bottom by jigging it slowly and also pause quite a bit.. you'll be so happy when you see that line running away from you, feel the fish set the hook.. senkos are my favorite watermelon black and red flakes works the best for me in clear water lakes thats the only color i use...
