I did see the post on rain gear. I was thinking of buying some frogg toggs. I guide at alot and I want extra rain gear for my guide trips. What do you boys think of the Frog Toggs? I don't want to spend a ton of money but I want something that will keep my people dry!  Thanks ;)

i think frogg toggs would be perfect for that application...an extra set for the people you guide.  they have a cheap set and an even cheaper set..something like 30 and 15 bucks that both work.  i wear the cheaper set all the time.  they are super light and packable.

Agreed, Frogg Toggs are pretty decent for warmer weather and double as a nice wind breaker.

I would recommend getting the bibs instead of the pants.  I've heard from several people for whatever reason the pants are more prone to ripping along the seams.  I've owned a pair of the bibs for 3 years and they still are holding up fine though they are showing some wear.  I picked them up at BPS for about $30.

Cold weather stuff - I like the BPS Pro Qualifier bibs & jacket, much more expensive but worth it in my book.

The bibs will also not allow the water to run off the jacket and down the back of your pants. ;)

For clients that forgot or don't have rain gear they are better than nothing. Should get you a good tip too....

If you have a Sam's Club near you, they have the Natural Gear Ultra Rain Suit that is the same material and about 1/2 price of the Frogg Toggs. They only have the jacket and regular pants, I didn't see any sets with bibs. I got a couple of sets for guests.

With that material it is better to get a size larger to lessen the seam stress whether you get bibs or pants.

I really don't like Frogg Toggs. They feel like a big sheet of paper on you. Both my dad's pair and mine have leaked. Also make sure not to get the pant version.

Frogg Toggs............  >;)

I bought a couple of pairs to keep on the boat.  Zipper broke on one the first time I used it.  The pants seat leaks on the other.  I got them both for $20, but they should have been $5.
