lv2fish Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 Anyone try any of these rage products? How do you like them(results). They look great but? Quote
mlpauley Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 i really like the anaconda worm it seems like it catches fish Quote
aarogb Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 I really like the Rage Tail chunks and Rage Tail toads. I also have used the Rage Tail shads, but I like the toads better for topwater. The chunks will give GREAT action to your jig and are just about the right size for any type of jig. Haven't tried anything else yet, but I plan on it soon. The only bad thing about the Rage Tail products is that they seem a bit pricey, but I guess you gotta do what you gotta do. Quote
Super User burleytog Posted April 18, 2009 Super User Posted April 18, 2009 The fish seem to like them. Quote
Super User Catt Posted April 18, 2009 Super User Posted April 18, 2009 Best invention to come along since the Senko Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 I'll be using all Rage Tail products today, film to follow. I can't wait to see the new stuff coming, some serious buzz behind the scenes. Quote
Super User cart7t Posted April 18, 2009 Super User Posted April 18, 2009 I had bought some Rage Tail Toads and shad when they first came out but never caught a fish on them. Then I got some on the road trip in the tackle bag along with some feebies that Big-O was giving out and proceeded to wack them all week on the rage Craws. I fished them both T-rigged and with a couple segments pinched off as a trailer on a jig. Great baits, they last a long time on the hook. Trememdous action. I'm anxious to try the 10" anaconda's this summer. Quote
Hooked_On_Bass Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 I used the Rage Tail Shad's last year with pretty good success. I will be experimenting with more Rage Tail products this year, for sure. Quote
westpalmfrogpunk Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 the Shad is a great and so is the toad. The shad is a bait I have tide on alot in the morning if there is a little chop on the water and some grass around. It just flat out catches fish for me. I like the craws to. Quote
Super User Micro Posted April 18, 2009 Super User Posted April 18, 2009 The Space Monkey is my current favorite soft plastic bait. So far this year, it has produced more fish for me than any other bait, soft or hard. Quote
berkleyfan81 Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 I like the rage chunk summer craw color on a football jig catch some largemouth bass with them . Quote
rondef Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 I have had good success with all of the Rage Tail baits. Quote
strick9 Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Very good success with the toads and the shad!!! I like the shad a little better, it just may replace my buzzbaits all together!!! Quote
Super User Hammer 4 Posted April 19, 2009 Super User Posted April 19, 2009 I'm placing an order for some next week.. Quote
Super User CWB Posted April 19, 2009 Super User Posted April 19, 2009 Can't go wrong with anything in the Rage lineup. The lizard is my new favorite soft plastic, followed closely by the craw. Will definitely be using the Space Monkey this year. Hey Big-O, Where can I get them in bulk? ;D Quote
BARON49_Northern NY Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 The Rage buzzing toad catches big smallmouths when there is a good chop on the water. They actually might be a little too loud in shallow or quiet water, but the Rage 10'' Anaconda is the perfect bait for shallow and quiet bays. While is Florida this year I rigged one of these with a 7/0 Gamakatsu EWG hook, used no weight just a clear bead to keep slop off the bait and to keep the bait on the hook. These things actually look alive with the long "fin" that runs most of the length of the body. Crawled it over grass, slop and pads and let it fall into openings of clear water. Slowly retrived it with one of the most realist actions of any plastic bait I have used in years. The Rage craws and chunks displace a lot of water and actually flutter no matter how slow you move them, unlike many others that have to be move quickly to get any action out of them. I have to say I am impressed with these new Rage products. Quote
Mrs. Matstone Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 I think I have tried them all and have had luck with all of them too but my favorite one is the shad. ;D Quote
Barnes731 Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 I was watching a fishing show on VS today and Shawn Grisby was using them at a lake in Florida. He was tearing the bass up on them. They seemed to have a great action. Then again I am skeptical of fishing shows. It was pretty obvious he was getting paid to promote them. Either way I think I'm going to pick up a pack tomorrow and use them at the lake. They should work around the shallow grass that I usually fish with flukes right before dark at this lake. Quote
Super User burleytog Posted April 20, 2009 Super User Posted April 20, 2009 It was pretty obvious he was getting paid to promote them. What does that have to do with the effectiveness of the baits? Quote
Barnes731 Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 It has nothing to do with the effectiveness of the lure. Just saying that most fishing shows are fake lol. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted April 20, 2009 Super User Posted April 20, 2009 It has nothing to do with the effectiveness of the lure. Just saying that most fishing shows are fake lol. They fish water that produces fish, film for a week and show the highlights. Regarding Rage Tail baits: Not only do I fish them, I personally watched Big-O put on a show at Kentucky Lake. CJ and I fished EXACTLY the same area and caught a few fish. Chris had 5-6 keepers, I had some numbers, but no size. Big-O had numbers 4-5 lbs, including a 6 1/2 largemouth! Rage Tail is the real deal and the baits have won major tournaments. If you are not fishing them, you should be! 8-) Quote
Super User MALTESE FALCON Posted April 20, 2009 Super User Posted April 20, 2009 I just started fishing the 7" Anaconda this weekend..............I'm SOLD. I haven't had a chance to try the craws yet, but I'm confident they will be as productive. Falcon Quote
Triton21 Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 Best invention to come along since the Senko Agree 100%. Kelley Quote
BassinSoldier Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 I love the toads and shads in the summer. The craw was an awesome jig trailer while we were at Kentucky Lake too. I caught somewhere near 20 or so bass before I had to put a new one on my jig! Great baits!!! Quote
rfrazier Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 7" anaconda bama bug on a spot remover. Toads do it for me too. Quote
