Howdy ya'll

I'm new to the forums, but not new to fishin'!  Born and raised in Texas and learned all my fishing in East Texas fishing Sam Rayburn and Toledo Bend.  I'm moving to Bakersfield, California in about a month due to my wife's new job and to be honest, I'm kinda  bummed to be missing out on my Texas fishing.  I recently just sold my boat to help pay for the new home in California (so much more expensive than Texas) so now I'm boatless, fishing in a state I don't know, and don't know anyone!

What else...I'm an Aggie by proxy and work at the Texas A&M Police Department in College Station, Texas, whoop!

GMT, welcome to BR.  Geez man, that's like quitting smoking cold turkey.  I'm sure you'll be able to get back into the swing of things out there.  Good luck and enjoy the forum, it'll soothe the soul. ;)

Welcome to BR from another Californian. I live over in Ridgecrest myself. Lake Isabella is the nearest body of water to me, just as it is for you. Maybe we can meet up at the lake sometime and I'll take ya out in my new Champion 210 Elite SCX. Lolts of very big bass there. PM or email me when you get out here.
