White Bass 08 Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 Hello everyone, I have been browsing this website off and on now for about a year. It is a great site for fishing info. I have been bass fishing for ten years. I started off fishing in small lakes and farm ponds in north Florida. I have fished tournaments as a non boater in all the big named lakes throughout Florida. I also fished team tournaments throughout Florida also. I now fish on the Mississippi River most of the time. Talk about a totally different fishery. I like to pitch tubes, beavers, and jigs on the Mississippi River. While I lived in Florida I caught a lot of fish on rattle trap style lures and the trusty plastic worm. I look forward to talking about fishing with everyone. Quote

Super User senile1 Posted February 17, 2009 Super User Posted February 17, 2009 White Bass 08, if you're fishing for bass in the Big River I assume you live up near the locks? I grew up in Southeast Missouri about 10 - 15 miles from the Mississippi River. We fished a lot of sloughs and blue holes off the river back in those days and caught a little bit of everything. It's a different world from the locations that I fish now. Welcome to the community! Quote
