Hello all,

Ironjack here. I fished Florida waters for many

years before moving to the Carolinas. Fished with

local clubs and tournaments out of Tampa.

Had to get used to Carolina fishing, Florida don't

have the rocky bottoms. Rough on the lower unit  :-[

Welcome IronJack.

Where in Tampa did you used to fish?

I live in Clearwater and have been fishing a lot on Lake Tarpon.

Sure could use a few pointers if you used to tread on that lake.

Thanks for all the welcomes.

Brute, I didn't fish Dunedin area much. Twice on Tarpon. 'Bout got

blown across the lake both times.

Here are some of my old haunts. In Lakeland, Lake Parker;

Saddle Creek, Winter Haven chain(caught a 10 lb'er on Lake Lulu,

between Shipp and Eloise.) Love Kissimee and Okeechobee.

The Harris chain is good. Many good phosphate pits too.

I do miss 'em,

IJ

Thanks IronJack,

I am looking forward to trying some other places.

I drove past lake Parker a couple of weeks ago and thought that it looked good.

I know what you mean when you say 'Bout got blown across the lake.

You must not have been there when it was real  Breeeeeezy.

Sure does give your trolling moter a work out.

Welcome! And watch out for the upper end of lake norman.  When I was a kid, dad and I hit a rock and had to idle home, 5 hours.
