Critical Point Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 Hey my name is Cole, I'm new to here, and relatively fairly new into Bass fishing. I just started getting interested into it about a month ago and haven't even had the chance to get my lure selection, tackle box, and equipment set up. I live in North Carolina for about 3 or 4 more weeks before I will be moving down to Plant City Florida where I will be going to college soon and working. So anyway, I will probably be getting more involved when I move down to Florida and have the summer to get all set up. I've been reading the forums for a little bit and decided I might as well join in. You all have already helped me quite a bit. Alright, now for a bit of a question or poll type thing. If you were putting together a Tackle Box / Lure Selection and rod and reel from scratch what are you going with? I mainly want to see where to start with. I pretty much already have trick worms and shakey heads in along with a couple spinners and a couple Rapalas. Other than that I have open space and an open mind, I'm really looking to learn a lot, because I intend on doing this for a long time. Thanks a lot, and it's very nice to meet you all. Sorry if this intro thing shoulda been in Tackle section! Quote
pasadenafishin Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 this is what i would do, slap down 50 bucks on the table at your tackle store and say i am new to bass fishing what should i get?. Quote
Critical Point Posted May 20, 2008 Author Posted May 20, 2008 Yeah, I sort of did a little of that today, talking to a few guys about what's been working and what not. I guess the good thing is, I'm not completely new to Bass Fishing, since I have been around it awhile, and know how to do some of the stuff, it's just there is a lot more I need to know, lol. But yeah. I've pretty much figured some of that out. Quote

Popeye Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 A hearty WELCOME to the BR Forums - the BEST bass fishing site on the Net, IMO. +3 on the jigs! Awesome and very versitile lures, especially when combined with the right trailer (jig and pig). RW's Fat Ikas are also superb as are Senkos.
