Trick Worm Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 I grew up fishing all my life. I currently go to school at Auburn University although I live in SC. My home has a pond in the back yard full of largemouth, crappie, and bream. Parents also have a house in Beaufort on the coast so I also enjoy catching redfish, trout, sheepshead, and various other saltwater fish. Im finished with exams next week and cannot wait to hit up my pond...its been a year since I fished it Quote
Trick Worm Posted April 29, 2008 Author Posted April 29, 2008 My favorite lure would be the buzzbait although the bass in my pond seem to like broken backs and texas rigged pumpkin seed worms Quote

Trick Worm Posted April 29, 2008 Author Posted April 29, 2008 We've been waiting for you! Did you bring beer? ehh no beer sorry. If you come fishing with me next week Ill be sure to have some. Speaking of fishing next week, I have been reading up a lot on largemouth and devised an attack plan. I will start out the early morning switching between a green buzzbait and a green floating frog. The afternoon calls for a texas rig and maybe a carolina rig if it gets too hot and nothing is biting in the shallows. The evening I will be fishing a floating worm along with the buzzbait again. How does this sound and any tips for small pond early season bass fishing in SC? Quote
Super User Gatorbassman Posted April 29, 2008 Super User Posted April 29, 2008 That sounds like a great plan. You pond should be in post spawn but you might see a few still spawning. Quote
Olebiker Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 That plan of attack should work out pretty well. Don't worry about the beer. Gatorade will do just fine. 8-) Quote
