FivePoundBluegill Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 Sorry for the delay. It was a late night. I have been catching them few and far between the last couple of weeks. Usually I am all about the top water at night but I tried working a black horse haired jig last night and I caught a couple, nothing big. I am trying to attach the pics, but it keeps saying they are way too big. "nothing big"? Those fish you just posted are very good size largemouths Quote

Those fish you just posted are very good size largemouths No, these are ones that I have caught since about April of this year. You don't want to see pics of the ones I got the other night lol. I caught a lot good sized ones this year. These are about as good as they get in my neck of the woods. Are there any other night time fisherman on here. It's about the only time I have to go. It is the best time to go IMO. Quote
Big_Bass_Rock Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 I've never gone at night, usually leave when it gets dark. From the pics it looks like you do pretty well after dark. What do you usually catch em on at night? Quote
TheBestIKnowOf Posted November 1, 2007 Author Posted November 1, 2007 The best time to go is at night. I catch fish like 3:1 at night versus daytime. I use mostly topwater, but you can catch them on anything even worms. My all time favorite topwater bait that I have been using for the last 2 or 3 years is called a Topknocker from Bass Pro Shops. I will get a link for you. Quote
TheBestIKnowOf Posted November 1, 2007 Author Posted November 1, 2007 Here is a link to the bait I'm talking about. THis thing is better than any other spook type bait there is. My second favorite bait like this would be the Sammy from Lucky Craft, but it's like $20 for one bait and you never know where it will end up at night :'( http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10151&catalogId=10001&langId=-1&partNumber=29803&hvarTarget=search&cmCat=SearchResults Quote
Big_Bass_Rock Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 Hmmm thats interesting. I am very new to topwater fishing myself but I may have to give a try at night sometime. Quote
Boett43 Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 Nice bass man..and nothing beats a topwater bite night or day Quote
