Zeta Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 Thought I'd drop in and say hi before I started posting. Name is Michele, I'm Massachusetts born/raised and still here enjoying all that New England has to offer. Love bass fishing. Fish from either my aluminum bass boat or for the no-gas motor ponds I fish from my kayak. This forum seems to be packed with info and I have seen some folks from a few New England forums I'm on so that's cool. Just wanted to introduce myself and say hello! Quote
JCrzy4Bass Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 Welcome to the boards Michelle. I was born and raised til' I was 9 or so in Lowell, Massachussetts. Spent a lot of time in Tyngsboro, Dracut, Chelmsford, Westford area, etc. Whereabouts in Mass? Nice bass in the avatar, looks like you didn't come here as a newb like I did. Got some experience lol. Anyway, wish I was back up there to fish some of that clear New England water. I miss it. Even though I didn't fish til last year, I bet I missed out on a lot not doing it as a kid up there. Good to have ya around. Lots of info is definately correct. These guys are practically raising me as a fisherman. Tight lines. Quote
rondef Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 Welcome to the forum, there is a lot of great information here. I lived in Massachusetts for years and I used to fish up in the lakes region in New Hampshire, primarily Lak Winnipesaukee as a kid. I caught a lot of rainbow trout and salmon on that lake with my grandfather, those are some memories I will never forget. I also fished the lakes and rivers in the Merrimac Valley in Massachusetts for many years. Enjoy the forum, there are some really good people here willing to provide you with knowledge. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted August 24, 2007 Super User Posted August 24, 2007 Welcome aboard! Massachussetts, huh? Is that near New England? : Quote
Guest the_muddy_man Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 Welcome MA ;D ,, Red Sox Fan? WARNING I AM A MET"S FAN Quote
JCrzy4Bass Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 Ahhhh... the old Bill Buckner joke. I am a die hard sox fan, and while we have always had a rough go of things I will always stick by em'. While the modo goes "they'll break your heart", they always give us hope. That Yankees series will never be forgotten and is in the history books now. Anyone in the Baltimore area (va, md, dc), knows when you go to a Orioles game, the bleachers and seats are a field of red jersey's and not a Oriole fan is in site. It's pretty awesome that I was able to move down here and still be part of my home team crowd! Pretty sad for the O's I must say though lol. Ps: I WANNA SMALLMOUTH FISH ON LAKE WINI!!!! Quote
rondef Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 The Baltimore Orioles Stadium is known as Fenway South!!!!! How many other fans can say that about their teams. It is a sea of red jerseys and the chants of Lets Go Sox are muted for the games on TV, that is pretty sad if you are a Baltimore fan. I have to hate the axis of evil (the Yankees). Yankees fans are not allowed in my house, my car or in my boat (lol). Quote
Super User T-rig Posted August 24, 2007 Super User Posted August 24, 2007 WELCOME to the forums! Quote
Masshole Mike Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 as a fellow masshole and newb to the board, welcome! Quote
nboucher Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 Welcome, Michelle. You've found a great community. I'm also Mass-based, in Sharon, and fish primarily from the kayak you see in my avatar. Hope to see you continuing to share your experiences on the boards, which have a growing New England contigent. Oh, and ignore whatever Muddy Man says about the Sox. Norman Quote
smallfry Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 ...Yankees fans are not allowed in my house, my car or in my boat (lol). I work with a $#!@ yankee fan. I let him in the boat. And back boated him the entire time... I've lived in Franklin, Ipswich, and several points in between for much of my life. Some good, underutilized bass fishing in those parts. Quote
Zeta Posted August 24, 2007 Author Posted August 24, 2007 Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. A little more info: I'm in the Canton-Stoughton-Randolph area of MA. Love to fish the local car toppers from the kayak, as well as ponds in plymouth and the upper cape. Have owned my own bass boat for five years now (occasionally have an open back seat). Not new to bass fishing, but still find there's always something new to learn. Prefer a baitcaster over a spinning setup. Not much of a baseball fan but looking forward to the football season and of course love the Pats. Also looking forward to the new BPS opening in Foxboro. Quote

rondef Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 Samuel is signing his 7.5 million tender and will be reporting for week one. You heard it here first!!! Quote
