Hello everyone,

I just started bass fishing about two months ago and love it!  I was wondering how to improve my luck, so far I have been landing 1-3lb largemouth others at the lake catch alot bigger (so far people at the lake have not been helpful).  Currently I have been using spinner bait.  I do well in the morning but not so good in the afternoon and evening.  The water is genneraly dark, mostly light winds, and I fish near the toolies.  I say lake but they are more like marshes, I think the water ranges from 5-15ft at the most.  Any suggestions would be helpful.  Thanks.

Read everything you can on here especially all the n-fo for beginners. Keep asking questions. There's a lot of folks here with extensive knowledge to help you. Unfortunately, I'm not one of them. :'( Cause, if it ain't plastic, I don't throw it ::)

Welcome aboard.  Try texas rigging a soft plastic and pegging the sinker then put the bait right up against the toolies and let it sink to the bottom.  Let it set for a count of ten then slowly start working it in.  You can either reel it in real slow or hop it back to you.  Good luck and have fun.
