Super User Dwight Hottle Posted April 15, 2011 Super User Posted April 15, 2011 Dwight, love the Lott Brothers cap. ..and nice fish... JoePhish thanks. I bought that hat & a tee shirt from Lotts this winter. SouthFLA recommended the place. I figured as long as I 'm wearing that hat Robert will know that is a current photo not one of last years. LOL Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted April 16, 2011 Super User Posted April 16, 2011 Here is my first smallie of this year. caught her yesterday on a jerkbait. She was 19.5 long. Weighed 5lb -7 oz.. That's 5.4375 divided by 8.50 Pa state record times 100 for a score of 63.97. A little motivation for A-Jay. - Motivation is one thing, but I'm still waiting for ice out. You're the Man Dwight but I'm coming for ya ! A-Jay Quote
MaineBassMan Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 Hopefully I will be able to cull it? Its a start though! Maine Record smallmouth 8lbs even 3.81 / 8 x 100 = 47.63 Its the one in my right hand: Quote
DeanFishesNY Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 New York 6 lbs 3 oz caught on a jig off a steep rock wall 6.1875/11.25x100=55 Quote
Super User J Francho Posted April 27, 2011 Super User Posted April 27, 2011 Really nice job, Dean! Quote
bflow_6 Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 It took me a while but i finally caught one worth entering in the competition. My partner was so tore up over the fish he cut my head off in the picture Anyway this fish wieghed 8lbs 2oz on my scale and the state record is 13lbs10oz 8.125/13.625x100 equals 59.63. Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted April 29, 2011 Super User Posted April 29, 2011 Just as a friendly reminder. You can't mix tenths with ounces. Divide the fishes weight in ounces by 16 ounces( to the pound) to get the proper decimal. bflow_6's 8lb- 2ounces fish is 2/16 for 8.125 divided by 13lb -10 ounces is 10/16 for 13.625. 8.125/13.625x100 equals 59.63. BassResource.com Advertiser FD. Posted April 29, 2011 Author BassResource.com Advertiser Posted April 29, 2011 The reigning champion has spoken. You keep em strait Dwight. Quote
Super User Shane J Posted April 29, 2011 Super User Posted April 29, 2011 Heck of a nice fish right there, bflow. Quote
Super User senile1 Posted April 30, 2011 Super User Posted April 30, 2011 Well, I got a few decent fish yesterday with one that was probably around 6 lbs but when I whipped out the scale it was dead. I did get a picture and posted it in the "My Fishing Trip" forum. See the thread below. With the Missouri largemouth record at 13 lbs 14 oz I would have still been below 50 percent so I wouldn't be in the hunt for the win. Looks like there have been some 60 - 65 percent catches so we have our work cut out for us. I still have a month and a half and I replaced the battery in my scale today. Whoopee! Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted May 3, 2011 Super User Posted May 3, 2011 Here is an update from today. 5lb-12 oz smallie. 5.75 divided by 8.50 Pa record X100= 67.65 1 Quote
hookingem Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 Here is an update from today. 5lb-12 oz smallie. 5.75 divided by 8.50 Pa record X100= 67.65 That thing is gorgeous! Quote
Super User webertime Posted May 3, 2011 Super User Posted May 3, 2011 I have a borderline unhealthy appreciation for the fish Dwight gets into. 2 Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted May 4, 2011 Super User Posted May 4, 2011 Here is a new update from today May 4th. 5lb-15oz smallie that fought like a much bigger fish. 5.9375 divided by 8.50x100 =s 69.85. Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted May 4, 2011 Super User Posted May 4, 2011 This fish came in 15 minutes later, 6lb-3oz smallie. That's 6.1875 divided by 8.50 ( PA record) X100=s 72.79. Quote
Super User RoLo Posted May 4, 2011 Super User Posted May 4, 2011 Simply incredible Dwight, you definitely have momentum on your side! Quote
BassResource.com Advertiser FD. Posted May 4, 2011 Author BassResource.com Advertiser Posted May 4, 2011 OK Dwight is disqualified. I'm not sure why, but I am working on a good reason. 1 Quote
Super User Goose52 Posted May 5, 2011 Super User Posted May 5, 2011 WOW - Dwight is cookin' with gas! But then - he's Dwight...and we're not !! 1 Quote
Super User senile1 Posted May 5, 2011 Super User Posted May 5, 2011 OK Dwight is disqualified. I'm not sure why, but I am working on a good reason. Dwight's on a roll. Seventy two percent is going to be hard to beat. I don't want to say game over, but he's making it pretty tough. I just calculated 73 percent of the Missouri largemouth (13 lb 14 oz)and smallmouth (7 lbs 2 oz) records and I need to catch a 10 lb 2 oz largemouth or a 5 lb 2 oz smallmouth to pass him. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted May 5, 2011 Super User Posted May 5, 2011 Just give me a chance to tighten the screws.....I'll be putting the pressure on Dwight. Heck, we might even join forces to destroy all your hopes, LOL. Quote
FL_Sharpshooter Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 Dwight should be disqualified...how can anyone compete with those monsters? Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted May 5, 2011 Super User Posted May 5, 2011 I'm on the Board - This sweet smallie lunched a 3/8 oz hand tied jig Here's her score ~ 4.75/9.25 x 100 = 51.35 I'm happy but like everyone, I'm hoping to up grade. Of course, Dwight has taken the "Up Grading" concept to a whole new level . . . A-Jay Quote
Super User webertime Posted May 6, 2011 Super User Posted May 6, 2011 Dwight is to Smallies what Derek Jeter is to good looking women... Quote
