DBinPA Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 Anyone use an electronic "Lure Color Selector"? My fishing partner wants to get one but im not sure i its worth the $100 plus dollars he wants to spend. Do any of you guys use these and are they really worth the effort? Quote
Super User Bassin_Fin@tic Posted April 10, 2009 Super User Posted April 10, 2009 Roland said it was necessary, so you guys that say no must be crazy : Quote
Super User Sam Posted April 10, 2009 Super User Posted April 10, 2009 Yes, and it does give you suggestions as to the color to use. I have seen a guy use it and after checking the water he went on to catch three bass. Go figure? Quote
Blue Streak Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 If I remember right those things are just more or less a light meter. Quote
Super User bilgerat Posted April 10, 2009 Super User Posted April 10, 2009 I'll sell him some magic fishing seeds. Just toss a few in the water...... : Quote
andamtoft Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 he would be better off using that money to buy a large array of crank baits in various colors that he can use in different conditions and just see what is working that day. No machine is going to be able to tell you what the fish are looking for, only the fish can tell you. Quote
Blue Streak Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 The therory behind that unit is that it will tell you what color the fish can SEE the best. Not what they will hit. Quote
