Maneframe Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 PreSpawn Water clarity < 1ft (Muddy) Water temp is 55 degrees right after a cold front. A week ago the water temp was 60. This is a river system that has lots of structure in 2-8ft and lots of shallow flats with grass in 2ft or less. Main channel ranges from 12-20ft. What lures, color, and what depth would you target? BassChaser57 Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 That is not a hard cold front but current is always your friend when a cold front blows through. I would sight fish, or back out to the first break to deeper water such as creek channel bends and slowly fish a Texas rigged plastic or jig and chunk around cover. With a cold front I look for current or go deeper and slow down. IMO a bass at 12 feet does not get as affected as much by a frontal passage as a shallow bass. The water temp should not change much at that depth. Black/Blue 12' -- Chartreuse 6' to 8' small and slow Quote
