KS_Bassin Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 There is a local Boat/ tackle show going. While there i found the big bins of baits for sale grubs, senkos, tubes everything. My question are these injected mold senkos even comparable to the high price senkos they look okay too me they're soft and there's plenty of colors to choose from. Has anyone ever bought any and tried them and how did they fair? -Matt Quote
RI_Bass_Guy Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 I use the No name senko to pre-fish and fun fish.. When there is money on the line either Yamamoto or Wave Worm tiki stiks Quote
HPBB Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 I have tried many want to be senkos. I have found none that compare. the senkos work when other do not. I know they are High $$, but that is the only ones I use. I don't waist my $$ on the cheep ones. I want to catch fish/find fish whenever I fish, so why use the cheep ones, if I think they don't work as good? If you like fishing with senkos, I would not waist my money on the knock offs Quote
Bluecraw Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 I never tried any other brands. I only use Yamamoto Senkos....I think they put some mojo or something in those things. : Quote
WhiteMike1018 Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 Matt, I have used and worked with many senko knockoffs in the past. I found that knock off senkos produce just as well for me as the originals, and they also are a lot more durable being that he original GYCB senkos are soft and tear easy. Things to look for when buying knockoffs: 1. Make sure they are flimsy and have good action 2. Make sure they are not too light because you want that casting distance. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted February 12, 2007 Super User Posted February 12, 2007 This question comes up periodically, probably too much. The argument will not be resolved because lot's of guys (LBH in particular) have TREMENDOUS success with knock-offs. If they work for you and you feel they are "just as good" as the GYCB Senkos, go for it and save some money. Some of us have been very successful with the original and will not be switching brands, but that doesn't mean the knock-offs won't work for you. Quote
BrockSamson Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 For some reason, the originals have always worked a lot better for me than knockoffs (Yum Dinger). Quote
