Luke at Gouldsboro Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 I'm looking for maps for a couple lakes in my area, all I could find are topo maps of the land around the lake (not elevation, ditches etc in the lakes). What kind of map (or type) should i Be looking for? Can I find these on a web sitem or should i look somewhere else? Thanks Quote

ring fry Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 Try google maps, acme mapper, or USGS. Quote
SausageFingers23 Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 Try this one. Works for my area. http://mapper.angling-technologies.com/atom/pmap.php Quote
Pitchinkid Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 Try this one. Works for my area. http://mapper.angling-technologies.com/atom/pmap.php very useful tool if your lakes is relativley new. Say 1980 - present. Seems on older lakes, the topo overlay doesnt show whats under water. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted February 23, 2011 Super User Posted February 23, 2011 Just send them an email requesting the lake, and if they can find the data, your lake is added. I've had quite a few lakes added. Quote
brant7171 Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 The Topo Maps option is just USGS topo maps - helpful sometimes but click the Depth Contours option to see just the contours if they have them. Quote
